The company said the device’s microphones feature noise suppression technology to help tune out the sounds of the road - and an “adaptive interference cancellation technology” that helps the Thing prioritize your voice over all other sounds and voices. Users can also save their favorite music and podcasts to four available preset slots, then ask Car Thing to play them by clicking or calling out the preset by number. With voice control - which works through several microphones on Car Thing - users can ask Car Thing to play songs, albums, podcasts, playlists, genres, moods and more, as well as to “like” songs. Users can control what’s playing by using the touch screen, the dial or Spotify’s “Hey Spotify” voice control mode. Anyone have a good fix for this to have Spotify seamlessly be recognized by my car, or have a shortcut I could use (I have an iPhone)? The Bluetooth in my car does not recognize either AM or Spotify and would not let me use media controls for that, which is why I’d like a fix with the USB connection.Dan Rutman Joins Spotify as Head of Music Creator Partnerships

However, occasionally on a blue moon my car sometimes recognizes Spotify and shows the music info and let me control the music, but the playlist count would always be counted wrong (it would say 1 of 1 when I first start playing, then 2 of 2 playing the next song, etc.). However, after switching to Spotify, my car always tells me “No Song” for the music information even when Spotify is playing through my car’s speakers just fine, and won’t let me switch between songs or pause/play with my media controls. AM would work with my cars and allow me to change between songs and pause/play via my car media controls and also show me music information. To note, I do not have CarPlay on my cars to play music through but a USB connection (2012 Honda Pilot). Recently I switched from Apple Music to Spotify since my free trial for AM ended and I got a promotional 3 months with Spotify.
